My hope is that this blog becomes a forum where researchers investigating ethical play in games can come together, share their work, and possibly find opportunities for collaboration. After the success of the Morality Play workshop at DiGRA/FDG 2016 and the special issue of Games and Culture, I thought it would be good to keep the conversation going. Also, by having an open blog, I hope to attract the interest of people outside the academic sphere.
If you are a researcher working in games and ethics, or a professional game designer working on a game that focuses on ethical play, you are welcome to contribute to this site. I am particularly looking for:
- Links to papers (past or present) on games and ethics,
- Reviews of games with interesting approaches to ethical play,
- Reviews of books on games and ethics,
- Announcements of events (conferences, workshops etc) related to games and ethics.
